I love that the bottles can be displayed with the labels visible through the door so you can see what you have,rather than the bottles laying bottom out in a wood rack. The metal racks slide with ease. The capacity advertised may work for very slender wine bottles, but is reduced about 40% with the 750 ml bottles my favorite wines come in. The fan is noisy when it cycles on. At first I would check on the cooler thinking someone had left the door open because it sounded like the fan was working too hard. It would be annoying if this cooler will be in a room you spend a lot of time in. Overall, it is a great wine cooler and I recommend it.

I bought this unit three weeks ago and its amazing! First of all, its a showpiece whether you have it under the counter or stand alone. We wanted to showcase ours and put it on a end table stand and it looks great! The compressor is quiet and it really does look great with the front row of wine bottles lit up by the unique lighting system.We bought the large standup model for a home up north and knew that this 42 bottle wine cellar would be perfect for our vacation home in Florida. Since we purchased ours, 6 of our friends have bought the Magnum Wine Cellars. Highly recommended. Its like a piece of furniture in our home!

I did a great deal of research in the sub $2000 category and this wine fridge has the best mix of features and appearance I could find. Great method of displaying wines by showing labels which gives this unit a unique appearance. I bought two of them and have them built into the island in the middle of my kitchen. The two things that are a bit disappointing are 1) the noise these units make which is a low but noticeable hum while running which can be a bit distracting and 2) the front bottles on the left hand side can easily fall off the shelves when pulling the sliding rack forward or moving bottles around on the rack. (be careful!) The only open question is reliability...time will tell.

While the product listing says its 42-bottle we keep getting the 38-bottle fridge (model # BU-138-X).
Tried to exchange, wrong model again.
Other than that, it looks great, works well, least amount of noise.
Gross misrepresentation though. This is an expensive fridge so if I bought 42-bottle capacity I should get that.
Just called the customer service apparently 42-bottle is out of stock but Costco app keeps showing it. And on Magnum cellars website they don’t even show the 38-bottle one for online ordering.
Weird and disappointing!

I really like the wine cooler. It displays well and keeps the temperature spot on.The racks are nice too, with little effort to get what you need. But the fan noise is louder than my refrigerator and it cycles on every 5-10 minutes all day. I'll probably be returning it in the near future.
